Electronic Music

Electronic music is very popular in today's culture and fundamentally, it is based off of the concepts discussed in the vibration graph section of this website. Artists who create electronic music use special software which allows them to alter the amplitude and frequency of sound waves. By the use of this technology, artists can create very unique sounds that cannot be created otherwise by natural means (or it would be very difficult). Artists also have the liberty of mashing an infinite numbers of sounds together in one compilation, like a sound bird with an infinite number of syrinx canals, these can create stunning cords and add beauty to the final product.

Above is an image of a sound pad. A sound pad allows artist to map different sound bits to pads and play them simultaneously as a rhythm is going on in the background. The artist also has the option of altering the the frequency of the sound waves by use of the sliders on the top. These sliders dictate the spacing of different sound wave periods depending on certain specifications set forth by the artists. Similarly, the knobs on the right allow the artist to alter volumes of certain notes thus changing the amplitude of the sound waves.
