The Saturn V Rocket was the launch vehicle used to put all of the Apollo Space Missions flights into orbit,
It was broken into 3 major sections.  The first 2 sections were engines that would get the rocket and crew into orbit.
The 3rd section contained the command module and for missions XI and beyond it carried the Lunar Lander.

The fuel used to power the engines of this rocket, was a mixture of liquid oxygen and hydrogen.
In a side note, the sheer
amount of fuel needed to power the Saturn V if detonated at one go would roughly equal a 1 megaton nuclear explosion.
The only safe way to view a takeoff of this impressive machine is from several miles away.
If you get too close the force and the heat of the engines would cause serious to fatal damage.

Here is link to where you can find video and audio footage of a launch of one of these massive rockets.
