original page:
Cross country
skiing is a very old sport in which a person connects two long
flat pieces of wood to their feet, and uses them to glide
swiftly over snow. It is believed to have originated in
Scandinavia thousands of years ago as a means to travel
across snow in the winter. Since then it has become a
recreational sport enjoyed in snowy areas world wide. I
hope this web page will be informative about the physics behind
this delightful winter sport.
