T-11 Parachute Assembly

T11 Second Example

The T-11 Parachute Assembly is the most recent and improved parachute used in the United States Armed Forces. With the T-11 Parachute, there have been numerous improvements to:

  • Maneuverability
  • Descent Rate
  • Lower Mortality Rate

Characteristics of the T-11 Parachute:

  • Cross-Cruciform Platform
  • Diameter of ~31 feet
  • Maximum weight capacity of 400 pounds
  • Descent rate is 18 feet per second
Parachuting with the T-11 series parachute, compared to the T-10 parachute, has factors beneficial to its user. With this parachute, descending onto the drop zone is much easier due to slower descent and faster maneuver response. In addition to this parachute, it provides a lighter deployment shock and softer landing, preventing injuries on the drop zone.
