T-10 Parachute Assembly

Older Model Example

*T-7 Series Parachutes.*

When Airborne operations began in World War II, the major development of alternative parachutes didn't begin until the late 1950's. From model's A to D, the T-10 Parachute Assembly were developed to improve:

  • Deployment Shock
  • Landing
  • Equipment Release

Characteristics of the T-10 Series Parachute:

  • Parabolic Shape
  • 35 feet Diameter
  • Maximum Weight Capacity of 360 pounds
  • Descent Rate is 22 feet per second

Although there were improvements to the parachute system, the T-10 was still difficult to maneuver. However, in 1976 the T-10 was introduced with an anti-inversion skirt netting, which improved the parachutes dependability in the air and ability for another deployment.
