Turbo Chargers

Newer diesel engines have turbo chargers to increase their horsepower and make them run more efficiently. The idea involves taking exhaust, compressing it in a turbo, and injecting it back into the combustion chamber (Nice, 2000). Diesels run on an air and fuel mixture. When there is more air being forced into the chamber, then there also has to be more fuel or else the engine will not have combustion. With more fuel and air, there is more energy being converted and the fuels are going to be burning more thoroughly and efficiently.

In a Diesel engine:  Air + Fuel = Power
