 Concluding Remarks :

It can be concluded that those little birds and tiny insects are way smarter than they are generally perceived! In fact, they outsmart humans in many ways.

The other key points are -

-        The secret of the lift lies primarily in the shape of the wings.

-        The starting vortex generates the bound vortex.

-        The trailing vortex increases drag - hence, generally unwanted - although its   effects are utilized during formation flight.

-        The flying animal generates thrust to overcome drag.

-        Gliding, soaring, flapping and hovering are the different forms of flight.

-        The figure of eight trajectory is common during flapping and hovering.

-        Insect flight is more complex than birds - although some of the basic issues  are the same.
