On January 17,
1706, Benjamin Franklin was born to Josiah and Abiah Franklin. At this
time, his family currently resided in Boston Massachusetts. Along with
his seven children with his first wife and ten more children with
Abiah, Josiah produced 17 children all together. Benjamin as the
youngest son. He only attended school until he was ten years old. After
that, he worked for his father for a couple of years. He then received
an apprenticeship from his older brother, James, working in a printing
shop. Franklin left his apprenticeship when he was 17 to live a life of
his own in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Later, Franklin created his own
newspaper titled "The Pennsylvania Gazette" in which, with his writing,
he gained much respect .
