General Mechanics

Part 1: Gravity

The basic fundamentals of gravity, on which our scale is small, can be properly modeled by Newton's laws of gravitation, and we'll be using the general equations of kinematics to determining the acceleration of gravity on this alien world.

Using the equation Δy = 1/2 * g * t² , we can rearrange it to the following form: g =Δy / (t² / 2), and so the linear regression's slope will give the gravitational acceleration in the Satisfactory world.

The acceleration of gravity comes out to be g ≈ 11.59m/s² with a correlation coefficient of 0.9956, meaning this very very well approximated by a linear regression.

We can safely conclude with our very small dataset that the true acceleration of gravity (because it doesn't vary in-game) is about 11.6m/s²!
