Poly-Phase Induction Motor

•      Tesla was the one who constructed and demonstrated the first induction motor and generator. In 1883 while working in France he designed and built the world's first AC induction motor.
  
  
•         The theory of operation of the induction motors is based on a rotating magnetic field, that is actually what Tesla discovered. He succeeded with using 3 phases of his alternating AC current (each phase in different step from the two others) to make a rotating magnetic field. Tesla's induction motors made it's way to homes around the world, making life much easier.

•        The companies with having this kind of motor, allowed them to require less people to produce their goods, thus having the ability to sell their goods for a lower price.

• The discovery is one of the most important discoveries in the history of mankind and is what allowed the industrial revolution to occur.
