Locations of Maglev Trains
These are only few of many maglev trains around the world.

1) Japan:  Japan was the first to operate high speed trains in 1964. They introduced the first bullet trains which traveled at a top speed of 130 mph. To this day they have the worlds fastest experimental train, the JR Maglev MLXQ01, which travels at a whopping 361 mph top speed!

2) Germany: Germany has always been a forerunner of high speed rail technology. German companies ThyssenKrupp and Siemens have developed a high speed monorail called the Transrapid system, a maglev technology. The experimental Transrapid TR-07 has reached a top speed of 311 mph. They have an operational train, the Inter City Express, that has a top speed of 199 mph.

3) Spain: Spain has the longest high speed railway network in Europe with 3,433 miles of track. The AVE series is manufactured by a number of train manufacturers including Alstom, Siemens and Bombardier are Spain's fastest trains. The AVE Class 103 began operating in 2007 and has a recorded top speed of 251 mph.
