The Physics of Glacier Travel

Whether you are look for a first ascent in the Brooks Range, early season ice climbing in the Alaska Range, or scouting out a fresh line of virgin pow to shred in the Chugach. In the back-country, glacier travel can be both convenient and necessary. Even though it is seems simple enough, physics can help us understand how complicated and dangerous it really can be.
