Types of Disks
Disk Golf Disks
![]() |
There
are four different types of disk golf disks, the
Distance Driver, the Fairway Driver, the Mid-Range,
and the Putt & Approach. Each disk is designed
to go travel different distances. The distance
driver has the most narrow edge. Because of this
there is less surface creating drag with the air.
This allows for the disk to travel the furthest. The
Putt & Approach disk has a very thick edge
creating much more drag. This makes the disk much
easier to throw shorter distances. The mid-range and
fairway disks have edges that are larger than the
driver and smaller than the putter allowing for more
precise throws. |

Ultimate Frisbee Disks

The
Ultimate Frisbee was designed to be passed between
people. The Ultimate Frisbee disk has the largest
edge and has much more surface area on the bottom.
This allows for the disk to glide far but also be
slow enough for the player to catch the Frisbee. |
