Marie Curie was a remarkable scientist that made great strides for women in science and made large contributions to the science of radioactivity.

In her lifetime Marie Curie's accomplishments include:

-Master's degree in Physics

-Degree in Mathematics

-Nobel Prize in physics for her work regarding radioactivity along with her husband Pierre Curie and Antoine Henri Becuerel (discoverer of radioactivity)

-Nobel Prize in chemistry for her discovery of the elements radium and polonium

-First woman to win a noble prize of any kind

-First and only person to win a noble prize in two different sciences

-Many other awards including Elliot Cresson Medal, Davy Medal, Matteucci Medal, John Scott Legacy Medal and Premium, and the Benjamin Franklin Medal
