Monday, Jan. 24 at 6:30. Aurora Fernandez, RPCV, shared some information about her service in Morocco recently. She would like to know the names of those who might be coming so please just RSVP to her at auroramarg@yahoo.com. We plan to meet at the University Community Presbyterian Church. Marcella will confirm this location soon. Just wanted to let you know so you can reserve the date. Monday December 20 2004 at 6p.m. The Bashams, Charley and Lynn, have offered to host our year end celebration pot luck at their home on December 20, Monday, at 6 PM. Please cook up something from your area of service, if you could, and bring it. Ana Richards will be back from Anchorage with her new citizenship papers. Tony will be back from El Salvador, Pat and Marjorie are back from Spain where they practiced the Spanish that Ana taught them. The rest of us will probably have been back from somewhere--like hurricane relief in Florida or somewhere else--and will be looking forward to some good conversation. On Thursday June 26, 2003 Fairbanks RPCV Tony Gasbarro was presented the Lillian Carter award by former President Jimmy Carter in Atlanta, Georgia. Anchorage Area RPCV Activities E-mail Alison Mall at Mall_Alison@asdk12.org for more information about Anchorage area RPCV activities. Alaska Peace Dividends Peace Corps volunteers from Alaska serving overseas for two years are currently not eligible for the Alaska Permanent Fund Dividend. At one time they were but they were removed the eligible list several years ago. There was legislation this past session being considered to REINSTATE Peace Corps volunteers from Alaska on the PFD list, but it did not pass.
