This  item is used in lab experiments for PHYS 115.

Equipment:

• Force Table, rod, base, pin, ring, pulleys                    Location: Demo Rm Shelf P
  
• Mass hangers and masses                                         Location: Demo Rm Shelf A
• Optional: LoggerPro box, cables and force probes     Location: Demo Rm Shelf W
  

Setup Instructions:

• Screw the table onto the stand rod, and the rod onto the base
  
• Put the pin in the top, and put the ring on it
• Put the three pulleys on the rim of the table at the desired angles
• Hang the mass hangers and weights until the ring is centered around the pin
  
• Optional: Plug in LoggerPro and connect two force probes.
  

Apparatus Notes:

If you keep two force probes connected at 0 and 90 degrees, it will be a fair measure of the x and y components of the hanging mass vector.
