Batteries + Hot Weather

While cold temperatures can result in reduced outputs in batteries, too much heat will lead to voltage leakage. This essentially the same problem that you see in cold weather, where the rate of reaction is being modified. Heat speeds up the rate of the reaction, making the battery naturally discharge. This process is temperature dependent, and speeds up when temperature rises.

Unfortunately, there is no easy way to solve this problem. It has always been harder to keep something cool rather than warm. If it's forty below, a person can dress in layers of warm clothing. In the summer when highs can be over one hundred degrees farenheit, you can only take off so much clothing before you can no longer easily avoid th heat. The same goes for batteries.
