4.6 Billion years ago a very normal Solar Nebula begins to collapse. 1.2 Billion kilometers away from present day Earth the Nebula is so cold Nitrogen is found in a solid form. Each moment Saturn slowly becomes larger and larger. A moon starts to form around this growing planet. Its made of Oxygen, Hydrogen, Nitrogen, and Methane. As the planet grows this new moon starts getting compressed by the gravitational stress from the large planet. This heats up Nitrogen enough to evaporate. 4.5 billion years later, present day. The heat caused by the stress of gravity on this moon causes Nitrogen to form an atmosphere. In March 25, 1655 a man named Chistiaan Huygens looks into the sky by Saturn and documents a moon. This is the first time Titan is documented, and named Saturni Luna. 1847 the name Titan was given to this large moon. |
