The trajectory of a bullet is extremely important information for hunters, sharp shooters, military and even law enforcement. The hunter uses it to make sure they hit the animal that they are after, the sharp shooter uses it to hit the bull’s-eye and get maximum points, the military uses it to ensure they hit the target and win the war, and the law enforcement use it both to hit dangerous targets and also to solve murder cases.
The history of bullets goes back long before firearms, back
to the days of slingshots. The bullet
was made of metallic or stone and used strictly for hunting. As firearms were developed and advanced from
1500
to 1800, the bullet remained fairly unchanged, as a round lead ball
called
rounds.

In 1823 the first conical bullet
was produced, which allowed for longer and more accurate shots, however
it was
not until 1847 that the new idea really stuck.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/bullet
In 1882 the bullet was given jacket and made
out of copper which is now the common style of a bullet.
