This is a list of the trajectories for a .300 caliber rifle bullet.  As you can see the change in velocity has a direct affect of the flight of the bullet.  Unlike the other page that showed how to calculate the flight distance of a bullet with no wind resistance this table clearly shows that wind plays a part in the trajectory of an object.
