Smiley faces represent point masses (or atoms, or particles),
lines between them represent springs
Theory:
The equation used is F = -kx. where k is the spring constant force
(force/distance), and x is the distance of a certain mass from the
spring's point of equallibrium. This is the force holding atoms (point
masses) together, forming interacting matter.
A Bold statement: The end result is that every physics concept
and formula learned in general physics could be simulated with this
system of masses connected to springs (aside from electricity and
magnetism).
