Fourier Series (http://jowett.home.cern.ch/jowett/ComputingNotes/wave.gif) What is a Fourier Series   Math of a  Fourier Series   Bibliography What is a Fourier Series                 A Fourier Series is a mathematical method to convert a function in a trigonometric series. The general idea is that a function can be closely described as a summation of sine and cosine waves of different frequencies and amplitudes. The nice thing about Fourier series is that even when evaluated to a fairly small nth value they still for very close approximations. More about the math and application of these series can be found in the other sections.
