Studio Ghibli is a Japanese animation film studio founded June 15th of 1985 by Hayao Miyazaki, Isao Takahata and Toshio Suzuki. The studio is based in Tokyo, Japan and has produced six out of the ten highest grossing animated films in Japan. Although these films are fictional, much of animation is based on physics that occurs in real life. This website is designed to give a brief introduction to the world of Studio Ghibli and some of the physics upon which these stories are based.
