Dragon Food

With such massive bodies and demanding lifestyles of flight and fire breathing, it is easy to see that a dragon must eat an exorbitant amount of food. If we are given that the muscle efficiency of dragons is given as 1 kWh requires about 5,000 Calories, it is clear to see that if it takes 36 kW for a dragon to fly 10 mph, then it requires easily more than 120,000 Calories to fly for an hour. With this in mind, given how much energy we can extract from food, this would lead to one dragon ravaging an entire countryside of all its sheep, which would not be practical for an entire species.
