This web page is designed to explain the physics of hydrofoils and show some uses for hydrofoils. I chose to do my project on hydrofoils because my father and I have been wanting to put hydrofoils onto our sail and lake boats for a long time, but did not know enough to build them correctly. I hope that this web page will provide information to other people interested in making their watercrafts just a little more fun and efficient. For those who are interested in a very little of my background, I am a civil engineering student at the University of Alaska Fairbanks.
