While we all understand that the events and phenomenon portrayed in the show are not meant to be taken as accurate representations of the physical universe, there is nothing wrong with exploring science from the perspective of popular culture. Many of the elements featured in Dr. Who have been the focus of scientist's and philosopher's curriosity for centuries. The idea of traveling not only through time but also though space has long been the dream of many. Achieving such feats, however, has not been possible, as of yet.
