Clouds part 1

Mountain waves can result in the formation of unusual clouds. When humidity is high enough (and thus moisture high enough) and other parameters are set that result in cloud condensation, clouds form along the mountain waves according to the diagram below.



The clouds that can be seen from this diagram are lenticular clouds, cap clouds, and ragged rotor clouds. The next page will have details on each.
