Introduction
The electric guitar is perhaps the most ubiquitous instrument in music today with it's influence cementing it in the history of popular culture. Throughout this project we will discuss the history of how the electric guitar was invented, along with the physics behind it's design. As an introductory idea the sound from an electric guitar is generated from the electromagnetic pickups interacting with the vibration of the strings to create signal which is subsequently routed to an amplifier and speaker cabinet.
