The two stage rocket is launched using a model rocket engine. The engine used in a two stage rocket is generally a C-size engine. When Preparing to launch the two stage rocket, the first step is to pack the parachute into the body tube of the model rocket, in a manor that will allow the chute to easily open. Once the engine is done running the nose cone is ejected off the body tube at which point the parachute is deployed. Depending on the model the first and second stage will either be connected to the same parachute, or each will have its own smaller parachute.
