History:
Trains have always been a staple of progress. Since its creation during the early 1800's, humans have used this advancement in order to alter the economies, increase the speed of industrialization as well as human expansion It was also used to increase the efficiency in terms of the way that we travel on the daily.
With the help of trains, trips that usually take hours upon hours can now be cut into a shorter time. Places far away can now be reached faster and products as well as raw material could be sent quickly and in a higher quantity. With all the advancements that have been added to the modern version of the train, it has become an even more efficient machine. However in today's fast paced age, humanity is craving for a better and speedier way to travel. Now you might say that we planes for that, but we can argue that planes are much more dangerous than any form of land transportation. The answer to this problem could be found in the existence of "maglev" trains...

Maglev which stands for "magnetic levitating" actually already existed during the early 1900's. The German inventor named Alfred Zehden was responsible for inventing the early form of electromagnetic transportation. In the year 1913, a prototype was demonstrated in Mount Vernon, NY by Emile Bachelet. It wasn't until 30 years later that the maglev system was utilized for commercial use. The train caused a stir when it was used on the Birmingham International Airport located in the United Kingdom. It had a 600 m track which ferried passengers to and from different places of the airport. It was popular at first but had to be closed in 1995 because of system complications.
Today, maglev trains can be found in countries like Canada, Germany, the United States, South Korea, China and Japan. Improvements were added to the train models, said improvements include a much more streamlined design as well as being comfortable, safe and most importantly faster than ever before.
