Now to chemical rockets, the boring ones.
Chemical rockets use combustibles that heat
up and are expelled out of thrusters to provide
propulsion. These are currently the only
thrusters capable of lifting out of a planetary
body's gravity well, and are unlikely to be on their
ways out any time soon, despite being famously
inefficient; often on launches 95% of mass is fuel.
