The Physics of the
stick in Hockey
- Shooting in hockey can be very
difficult as their is multiple shot techniques
to understand
- The Slap shot: The slap shot is the
shot that requires the most force in order
to send the puck into the net.
- Wrist shot: requires you to move
your wrist and put it in a different motion.
Stick control is very helpful
- Some of the forces on the puck are
Gravity, Normal force, and Friction
- Friction allows the player to move on
the ice and keeps them on the ice without
losing control.
- You also must have great body position
and have different angles that you can shoot
from so you can have the most force on that
shot.
