History and Preface
Pokemon originated with the idea of Satoshi Tajiri, based off of his childhood adventures of exploring the forests near his home and catching and collecting various insects, small fish, and animals. Tajiri and his close friend, Ken Sugimori would eventually form a video game magazine under the name Game Freak, and with the help of some other key members of Game Freak, Junichi Masuda and Shigeki Morimoto, they were able to gain the attention of Nintendo with their idea and Pokemon was formed, undergoing several name iterations from 'Capsule Monsters' to 'Pocket Monsters,' eventually being shortened to just 'Pokemon.'

Since Pokemon is based on real world experiences, much of what goes on in the Pokemon world does have similarities with real world physics and properties, but there are still plenty of aspects that do not accurately represent real world physics, whether it is present in the games, TV show, or books. This project will seek to apply real world laws of physics to some of the reoccurring aspects of Pokemon to see how possible some of the things in the Pokemon world really are.
