Michio Kaku is a theoretical physicist, who was born in January 24, 1947, in San Jose, California.  He became interested in science at a very young age, and before he had even graduated high school, he built a particle accelerator in his parents' garage for a science fair project.  At the National Science Fair, Michio met physicist Edward Teller, who would later become his mentor.  Next, Mr. Kaku attended Harvard University, where he graduated first in his physics class in 1968.  From Harvard, Michio attended the University of California at Berkeley.  He received his Ph.D in 1972.  After finishing his education, he had a brief stint as a lecturer at Princeton, but has now spent over 25 years teaching at the City College of New York.  Dr. Kaku has not slowed down in his passion for science, as he has authored more than 70 scientific publications, as well as several books.  Besides appearing on multiple TV shows, films, and radio stations, most of his time is devoted to creating a singular theory that can combine Einstein's early findings with quantum physics.  Present day, Michio lives with his wife and his two daughters in New York City.
