Gustav Kirchhoff
was born in
Konigsberg, East Prussia. He attended
Albertus University of Konigsberg where he
graduated at 19. During his time at
Albertus, he created a
particular set of laws dealing with
electrical engineering: the Kirchhoff
circuit laws. Gustav Kirchhoff involved
himself with a passion to learn the minute
details of both physics and chemistry; it
was this passion that lead him to not only
make important scientific discoveries in
both fields but to receive four awards for
this work. He was years ahead of his time.
Gustav Kirchhoff (12 March 1824 - 17
October 1887).
Kirchhoff’s circuit
laws are comprised of two laws:
Kirchhoff’s Volt law and Kirchhoff’s
Junction law.
