Richard Feynman was born in Queens, NY, in 1918. He spent his youth in Far Rockaway (pictured on the left). By the age of ten, Richard was running his own lab and employed his younger sister, Joan, as his lab assistant for four cents a week. By the age of 15, he had taught himself advanced mathematics (including Calculus). (Riley) He then went on to study at MIT. |
Richard Feynman graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1939. He went on to earn his Doctorate from Princeton University. He actually earned perfect scores on his math and physics entrance exams at Princeton. This was something no one had achieved before. (Riley) |
