The Amazon Warrior Princess

Wonder Woman was born Princess Diana of Themyscira. Her mother Hippolyta is the Queen of Amazonia, a world that consists of only woman and resembles an ancient Greek society. Because Diana
is a princess of the Amazons, she was gifted with her powerful Lasso of Truth and magic gauntlets to fight evil.. While Earth was under attack from alien forces, Diana insists to her mother that the
Amazonians should help Earth. Frustrated at her mother for rejecting her plead, Diana gathers her armor and lasso to travel to Earth. After helping in the struggle to save Earth Princess Diana of
Themyscira becomes Diana Prince, a government official for the Department of Metahuman Affairs (Government agency for humans that develop superpowers). So Diana lives her life as Wonder
Woman to promote justice and female power on Earth.

Wonder Woman also is a founding member of the Justice League and often has a romantic yet reserved relationship with Batman. Wonder Woman is often also seen with a sword and
shield, just as in the DC Comics game Injustice: Gods Among Us.

As I just explained, Wonder Woman is best known for her bullet proof gauntlets and Lasso of Truth. Can Wonder Woman's gauntlets really block bullets? And can Wonder Woman really
throw her shield just like in the DC game Injustice: Gods Among Us?

Can Wonder Woman's Gauntlets Really Block Bullets?

There is quite a simple answer to this, assuming she can get the bullets to hit the gauntlets, the answer is yes! Scientists at Rice University have made a carbon nanotube fiber that has astounding
properties. One leading researcher said:

"We finally have a nanotube fiber with properties that don't exist in any other material... It looks like black cotton thread but behaves like both metal wires and strong carbon fibers." (Boyd, Rice University)

What are carbon nanotubes? Carbon nanotubes are a small piece of nanotechnology made out of, yep you guessed it, carbon. Scientists take carbon and create small tube like structures made up of thin sheets
of one atom thick carbon. How the tubes are put together determine how strong, flexible, and small the tubes can be. Most of these nanotubes are as wide as a strand of DNA, one hundred times stronger than
steel and at reduced weight! (Boyd, Rice University)

Carbon nanotubes are the perfect answer to this question, if Wonder Woman had her gauntlets made out of carbon nanotubes they could definitely absorb bullets. If the gauntlets where even lined with a
thin layer of a strong metal it could even reflect bullets. The downfall is that carbon nanotubes are very hard to work with and can be extremely hard to produce.

So Wonder Woman's bullet proof gauntlets are possible, but the manufacturing and application of the nanotubes will need to grow before being completely easy to work with and make!

Can Wonder Woman Really Throw Her Shield Like In The Game Injustice: Gods Among Us?

I myself am skeptical about this topic, I mean shields weigh a ton! However, I did some calculations below, so lets see if she can or not.

So according to my calculations she can actually throw it! I did set the distance rather far, if I was to cut that 20 meters to 10 meters the force would need to be
about 3000 Newtons. She would probably need to be roughly twice as strong as a body builder that can lift 420 pounds, which sounds a bit more reasonable. However she is an
Amazonian woman and they are the strongest in the universe!
