A project by Joren Bowling:
Ever since the invention of the aircraft, the problem poised was a simple one - how do you know where you are? It's a task that mariner have faced for millenia, but as the speeds increased and the altitudes did too, many means of way-finding used by our predecessors on the seas are no longer useful. It was up to the pioneers of modern flight to figure out new methods of navigating in the air. Everything from the first usage of radio for navigation, all through a detailed examination of modern technology will be discussed.
