Energy Forces

Potential Energy:
Potential energy is just as it sounds, the energy that is not in motion and is in reference to the position and not the motion.
The equation for potential energy is: PE=mgh where "m" is the mass, "g" is the force of gravity, and "h" is the height.
For a swing, the potential energy is the high parts of where the swing goes forward and backward.
Kinetic Energy:
Kinetic energy is the energy that is in motion.
The equation for kinetic energy is KE=1/2 mv^2, where "m" is the mass and "v" is the velocity.
For a swing, kinetic energy is everywhere were the swing is in between the highest parts as you go back and forward.
