Acoustics
In any concert acoustics are vital. Good
acoustics will lead to a pleasant time where you enjoy the
music while bad acoustics give you a bad time where you
don't enjoy the music at all.

Acoustics refer to the process by which
material absorbs energy when sound waves are encountered.
This is in comparison to a materiel that reflects sound
waves. When this occurs some of the energy becomes heat, and
some is transmitted through the material.

As a listener the first thing one hears
is the direct sound, which travels in a straight line from
the source. The direct sound is then followed by a series of
early reflections from from the surroundings. If the sounds
hits a reflective surface the reflections can be almost as
loud as the direct sound. If these reflections are too long
or too short the audience will have an unpleasant
experience.
