Do Only Space Games Have Physics?
-
Actually no, Just about every game uses some sort of physics, from gravity pulling you to the ground and force normal to keep you from glitching though the ground. We are using space games to demonstrate applied physics because space based games like Kerbal Space Engineers and space engineers focus on physics simulations that allow us to easily create, test, and analyze the results of hypotheses.

What Is Space Engineers?
-
"Space Engineers is a sandbox game about engineering, construction, exploration and survival in space and on planets. Players build space ships, space stations, planetary outposts of various size and uses (civil and military), pilot ships and travel though space to explore planets and gather resources to survive." (Keen Software House). To create a realistic environment for their players keen designed Space Engineers to use real world physics such as mass, momentum, force, and torque. Additionally, while not quite mimicking real world physics, Space Engineers implements the force of gravity where it is of significance - near planets.

What Is Kerbal Space Program?
Kerbal Space Program (also known as KSP) is like Space Engineers in that most of the gameplay is focused in / around space. However, that is where the similarities end. KSP is a rocket simulator; in the game you are tasked with designing, and controlling rockets that you can use to explore a model of the solar system. KSP allows players to explore an open solar system where they can go anywhere they can using the power of physics to guide them.
