  Johannes Kepler was born on December 27th, 1571 in Weil Der Stadt, Wurttemberg (now Germany). 

 Kepler was an astronomer and     mathematician who gave life to the study of celestial mechanics

and developed 3 revolutionary laws to describe Planetary Motion.  Kepler     

also founded the science of optics, including the studies of telescopes, magnification, and reflection.
