Projectile Vomiting

Back at camp, an ambitious sasquatcher decides to participate in a beer chugging contest. Unfortunately, the results are not in his favor and he projectile vomits directly towards a group of friends. Luckily we can use physics to see who should move out of the way!

  Lets assume that John is 2 meters tall and his vomit leaves at a 30 degree angle and 3 m/s. Assuming also that his friends are roughly the same height as John, we can use the range equation to determine the reach of his upchuck.

Range equation: R=v₀²sin2θ
                          g

So, R = (3m/s)²sin(2*30)  = 0.79 m
