Types of Bridges
Beam Bridge
The beam bridge is a very simple bridge. It is made of two or more supports which hold up the beam of the bridge.
Arc Bridge
In an arch bridge, the weight is carried outward along two paths like an arc. Then the weight curves toward the ground.
Suspension Bridge
A suspension bridge is hung by cables and those cables are hung by the towers. The cables transfer the weight to the towers then to the ground.
Cantilever Bridge
The cantilever bridge has two beams and it supports another beam.
