=The Rising Fastball=
Many
if
not
all
batters
in baseball today can tell you that they have seen a
"rising fastball" in more than one occasion. The
rising fastball is a product of the batter's perspective where the ball
appears to suddenly rise as it approaches home plate; thus, making it
more difficult to make contact with it. In this discussion, we
will
explore the possible causes for the presence of a rising fastball as
well as explain through physics if this pitch is even possible.
