Meteors are more commonly known as "shooting stars", and they can provide a fantastic display of light when they come closer, particularly during a meteor shower.
(If you haven't seen one, go outside during a meteor shower and wait.)
By now, we know where they come from. But how do they reach Earth or other planets? What happens when it passes through the atmosphere? And what happens to it when it hits the ground?
Well, this website will serve to tell you as much about meteors as possible as well as the physics behind them.
