Rotational
Motion
Introduction
Understanding how objects rotate and how this
rotation affects translational motion is an important aspect to grasp
in
physics. Rotational motion is something that is used to describe
the motion of planets orbiting the sun as well as helping to explain
why an object may be deflected in a particular direction. What
this cite will try to explain is the affects of a baseball pitcher
rotating a baseball and why these individuals are capable of causing
the changes in translational motion. To to explain these affects,
two different types of commonly used pitches will be addressed, the
rising fastball and the curve ball.
