Skyler Evans – Phys 211 – Fall 2010
Frisbees are a fantastic source of fun amongst college students, used for all sorts of games. Whether used for a simple game of catch or playing on UAF's sprawling disc golf course, the soaring discs delight and amuse with their gravity-defying antics.
A frisbee works on a very small amount of relatively simple physics principles, though. The unique shape of the disc is what enables it to glide the way it does. Later pages in this project will go into more detail about how the flight of a Frisbee is achieved.
