Phyiscs in Kicking the ball
There are lots of physics involved in kicking the football.  When kicking a field goal, the kicker runs up to the ball, and kicks. The kick from the kicker gives the ball the energy to fly. This is due to conservation of kinetic energy, and conservation of angular momentum. Which means the energy transfered from the kicker to the ball should be the same.

There are equations to use in determining the energy factors in kicking the ball.

L = I x W   => Angular momentum = Moment of Inertia x Angular velocity.

KE = (1/2)m v^2  => Kinetic Energy = 1/2 x mass x velocity squared.
