The Future

Nanotechnology really is the wave of the future. It has the potential to make life better to such a degree that it could change the world as we know it. The fundamental belief behind nanotechnology is that we can build robots whose size can be measured in atoms. These robots can do two things: self-replicate and change the molecular structure of things. This basically means that we can have whatever we want as long as we have the elements, and the elements for most things are all around us. Things like gold and platinum will still be rare, but everyday things will be as easy to get as to wish. Of course this could cause serious social and economical problems, but since we are still a ways away from this dream of nanotechnology we can work on these things. We could be decades or centuries from the ideas that Feynman first said in 1959.
